Each month, we designate a group or charity for a love offering; a gift offered as an expression of love or devotion. It’s a way to bring us together as a community and provide spiritual and financial abundance to those in need. What inspires you? Please consider making a love offering donation.
JANUARY
The Love Offering for January supports the PUMC Backpack Ministry which provides weekend meals for children in Pineville.
FEBRUARY
The Love Offering for February is our English as a Second Language partners.
MARCH
The Love Offering for March is the PUMC Scholarship Program. Our Scholarship Program helps our church members grow and learn, which in turn helps the growth of our church and community. We anticipate having a healthy number of scholarship applications this year. Please consider a donation to the program. Simply indicate it on your check or online form.
APRIL
The Love Offering for April is the United Methodist Committee on Relief. UMCOR provides humanitarian relief and disaster response in the United States and internationally.
MAY
The Love Offering for May is for Stephen Ministry. Stephen Ministers are available to walk with you through troubled times. This is all done in complete confidentiality. They are trained to listen attentively when you need someone to hear you. Checks can be made for this love offering payable to PUMC and write “Stephen Ministry” in the memo.
JUNE
The Love Offering for the month of June supports Loaves and Fishes which provides direct emergency food assistance to those in need. We collect canned goods to deliver to the pantry at Harrison UMC. To contribute to this ministry, write checks to Pineville UMC and write “Loaves and Fishes” in the memo.
JULY
The Love Offering for July is Crisis Assistance Ministry which provides emergency financial support to keep people from losing their homes and having their utilities turned off. They also provide clothing and household items.
AUGUST
The Love Offering for August is Pineville Neighbors Place. Our community has been economically impacted by the pandemic. Your donation helps to pay rent or utilities for one of our neighbors. To contribute to this ministry, write checks to Pineville UMC and write “Pineville Neighbors Place” in the memo.
SEPTEMBER
The Love Offering for the month of September supports RISE Against Hunger.
OCTOBER
The Love Offering for October supports the Caring and Sharing Fund which provides church members and neighbors with assistance for emergency needs including utility bills, rent, gas and other living expenses.
NOVEMBER
The love offering for the month of November supports Shop with a Cop
DECEMBER
The love offering for the month of December supports “Gift for Christ.” You may designate a specific cause or fund or mark undesignated. The gift will signify that in the midst of giving to everyone else in your family and in your life, you did not leave Jesus out. Please make checks out to Pineville UMC.
